UAE President and Jordanian King meet to fortify bilateral ties

In an effort to bolster ties and delve into fresh opportunities, the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan convened at Basman Palace in Amman. The gathering, taking place during His Highness’s formal visit to Jordan, was intended to assess bilateral relations and regional and international shifts.

King Abdullah II, who extended a warm welcome to the visiting UAE President, expressed his firm belief that the meeting would enhance the already solid bilateral rapport between their nations. They engaged in meaningful discussions concerning various facets of UAE-Jordan cooperation, endeavoring to find ways to build on their deep-rooted historical ties.

The conversation ventured into exploring potential paths to intensify cooperation across pivotal strategic sectors. The focus rested on fortifying economic partnerships, unearthing investment prospects, and identifying development opportunities. Additionally, they contemplated other key domains that could propel sustainable development and prosperity in their respective nations.

A segment of the meeting was devoted to the exchange of perspectives on regional and international developments. Both leaders emphasized the critical role of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts. They jointly expressed their commitment to encouraging peace and lending their support to endeavors aimed at ensuring regional and global stability.

The UAE President used the platform to reiterate that the UAE and Jordan’s common vision revolves around achieving sustainable development, stability, and economic prosperity for their people and the region. Post meeting, a luncheon was hosted in honor of His Highness’s visit.
